Shorewood Packaging adds offset presses, two new plants

Cartonmaker Shorewood Packaging (www.shorewoodpackaging.com) of New York City installs new proprietary, sheetfed-offset presses at three of its facilities to meet and exceed customer expectations with expanded printing capability.

Shorewood’s Indianapolis, IN, and Hendersonville, NC, facilities and its Guangzhou folding-carton plant in the Peoples’ Republic of China are all operating these new presses to provide premium packaging for a range of global manufacturers in the cosmetics and fragrance, personal-care, OTC-pharmaceutical, confectionery and golball markets. The presses include enhancements such as advanced computerized color-management systems, modular in-line UV coating, pre-set functions that reduce manual set-up, and digital-integrated workflow.

In addition, Shorewood Packaging will open two new facilities this quarter, one in Shanghai, PRC, and the other in Torun, Poland.
