Smart drug patch via printed electronics in the works

Soligie of Minneapolis has been awarded contracts to develop a drug-delivery patch and a smart-packaging product that use its high-speed, roll-to-roll, printed electronics production line. Prototype versions have been delivered and are in testing.
“We’re excited to be shipping medical-patch and smart-packaging components to customers who are leaders in their respective industries," says Soligie president Matt Timm.
These products us numerous conductive silver and silver/silver-chloride inks as well as carbon-based resistors, dielectric materials and vias, all to be manufactured in a single pass on a continuous web at high speeds.
