Shorewood Packaging sets up Mexican carton plant

-- Converting Magazine, 4/29/2008

Folding-carton maker Shorewood Packaging (www.shorewoodpackaging.com), New York, expands into Latin America with Shorewood de Mexico (www.cartograf.com.mx), located in Aguascalientes, Mexico, a new manufacturing facility to serve multinational customers with high-end packaging solutions.

A joint venture with Corporativo Cartograf S.A. de C.V., “The creation of Shorewood de Mexico aligns with our business strategy to grow where our customers are growing, enabling us to meet their needs for value-added packaging in different parts of the world,” says Patricia Marques, director of business development for Shorewood Packaging.

Shorewood de Mexico is operating out of Cartograf’s Aquascalientes facility in central Mexico. This state-of-the-art, ISO 9002-certified facility is equipped with offset and gravure presses as well as finishing equipment.
