Martin Automatic, Labelmen sign licensing agreement at drupa 2008

-- Converting Magazine, 6/19/2008

Rockford, IL-based Martin Automatic (www.martinautomatic.com) enters into a licensing agreement with pressmaker Labelmen Machinery Co., Ltd., of Taiwan. Under the agreement, signed at drupa 2008, Labelmen will build Martin’s STS automatic splicers and STR turret rewinds for sale on equipment manufactured by Labelmen.

“This marks the first time that Martin Automatic has chosen to partner with another company for the manufacturing of our products,” says Martin Automatic president Roger Cederholm. “Labelmen is a substantial company with an excellent reputation.”

Like Martin, Labelmen has served the printing industry for over 40 years. “This technical alliance with Martin Automatic moves our company into a new era of continuous innovation,” adds Lo Chin-Shiung, president of Labelmen.

Labelmen plans to launch a new MN series press, which will have Martin’s automatic roll-changing equipment fully integrated into it.
